Power of Prayer comes

⁹I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.
¹⁰All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them.
¹¹I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name--the name you gave me--so that they may be one as we are one. (John 17:9-11, NIV).

Reign with Christ

The Almighty Creator raises us up to new life and seats us with him in the heavenly realms (Eph. 2:6). People of the Creator become … priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. The children of God live and rule with Christ here on this earth. He makes us kings and priests to serve God as we reign on earth (Rev. 1:6; 5:10).

God chooses us as living stones that he builds into a spiritual house. He calls us a holy priesthood that offers spiritual sacrifices to God. As royal priests, we give God praises and do his work on earth (1 Pet. 2:4–9).

We reign with Christ and rule with him through our prayers and actions on earth. Even if we can’t see it in the physical world, we reign with Christ in the spiritual world. Jesus said that he had all authority in Heaven and on earth. He told the Church to go and make disciples of all nations. He promised that he would help each Christian until the end of the Age (Matt. 28:18–20)....

Prayer Power Reigns with Christ

We reign with Jesus in the spiritual realms while we live on earth. Our prayers activate the power of the Holy Spirit. Prayers appear as a catalyst: they seem small, but they do much. The individual prayers of the saints endure over many years.

The Holy Spirit lives in each of us who follows Christ. If we listen to the Spirit, we will pray the prayers that God wants us to pray. When we pray, Almighty God hears our requests. The Sovereign Lord then uses our intercession to fulfill his plans.

Power of Prayer comes in the Name of Jesus Christ

¹²Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. ¹³And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. ¹⁴If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it (John 14:12–14, KJV).

Our prayers in the name of Jesus activate the Lord’s work in people and nations. When we help direct God’s actions, we help him reign on earth.

We reign with Christ by doing the works that he has called us to do. God leads each of us to individual activities. Every man, woman, and child fits into the mystical body of Christ in a unique way (1 Cor. 12–27). God uses our natural abilities to help proclaim the Gospel.

Power of prayer reigns with Jesus in glory today
